Gluten Free All Purpose Bread Mix Measured Ingredients

Follow Instructions for All Purpose Bread Mix & Let Rest

When preparing the dough for paleo friendly bagels and bagel holes, add all the measured ingredients, except for the boiling water and mix well. Add any optional seasonings or spices during this step as well.

Add boiling water and mix well until the dough is smooth and even. The mix can be done by hand, in a stand mixer, or a food processor. When in doubt, mix longer it will not damage the dough.

At this point, the dough can rest in a covered bowl for four hours (for zero sugars) or if mixed in the afternoon it can rest covered (in cloth) overnight.

Divide & Shape The Dough

Divide dough into 6 equal pieces to prep for your paleo friendly bagels

Flatten each piece of dough into a disk 4.5 to 5 inches in diameter for desired thickness (a 1 quart yogurt container lid is a good sizing guide).

If using a topping, brush lightly with well-beaten egg wash. Sprinkle on toppings as thick or thin as desired. Toppings can be added to both sides if desired.

Punch out a circle from the center with a small biscuit cutter or any small round object, shot glass, small plastic container, etc.

You now have your bagel, plus the hole!

Paleo Friendly Bagel Recipe: Cut out hole

Bake Your Paleo Friendly Bagels & Bagel Holes

Preheat oven to 335℉ (315℉ convection).

Evenly space your 6 paleo friendly bagels on a baking pan and place the holes wherever there is space.

Place in oven.

The center holes will be done in 35 min. (If they are towards the front of the baking sheet they can be removed with tongs. Make sure to do this quickly to prevent bagels from collapsing).

The bagels need about 45-50 minutes total. After removing the holes, bake for 10 to 15 minutes longer.
